I suppose the line is not exactly "budget" - these puppies are pretty expensive, with a lot of things costing upwards of $ 50. But boy are these products great.
First off, not much has worked better for my oily/combo skin than Sheer Transformation cream. It's oil free and contains fruit acids and calming agents that really do a nice job brightening skin tone and preventing breakouts. 80% of things I try give me breakouts, but this is pretty safe to lather on in copious quantities (not that you would really want to at these prices however). I have bought this over and over again and while my only qualm is that it should be a little more moisturizing and last a bit longer, otherwise Sheer Transformation is a A+ product for oily skin.
Invigorating Night Creme from the same line is similarly great. This is full of glycolic and lactic acid and fruit acids- and you can definitely feel it when your face starts stinging like some bees made it their new home. But the next morning skin is guaranteed to look smoother and less tired and just brighter in general. Glycolics are basically the gold standard in exfoliation according to many dermatologists, so it helps to have one in a skin regiment. This is, like other Ole products not cheap at $50 but because you don't use it every day (at least I don't, and contrary to instructions, I tend to keep the creme on for a few hours then wash off any residue before going to bed), it lasts for quite a long time. So, another great product!
I also bought some items from the African Red Tea line as part of the Art of Age Control set. The eye cream was pretty creamy and thick, so effective in that regard, but neither it nor the Express the Truth cream did much in terms of reducing lines. The serum was more of a standout for me - light texture and went well under makeup
